Q: “Why did you start this blog in the first place?”

A: A need of expressing myself and a small identity crisis with a hint of wanting my voice to reach others. One of the best decisions I’ve made to be honest.

Q: “So, where exactly are you from?”

A: I’m an Egyptian raised in Saudi Arabia who acts rather American due to the type of school I was in. You can read about my little identity issue here.

Q: “What’s it like living in Saudi Arabia?”

A: Very different but not what people imagine it. I owe a lot to the country that put a roof over my head and provided for me all my life and I honestly really loved it there. I met some of the best people ever. Like I said, it’s very different in terms of customs and how things are done but it’s the closest thing to a home I have.

Q: “How’s university been so far?”

A: It has been weird, exciting, ugh, scary, and wonderful all at once, no other way to explain it.

Q: “I am socially anxious too, do you find your blog an easy place to be yourself?”

A: Oh yes, blogging has become one of my favorite things to do! I have so much to say and discuss and I’ve found this the perfect place to do it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not an easy thing to do. There’s always going to be haters and negative comments but there’s also always going to be lovely discussions and an amazing sense of community to balance it out.

Q: “The pictures on your blog are superb! Do you use DSLR or mirrorless to click them?”

A: Aww, thank you very much! All my header images and pictures of my travels have been actually taken with my s4 Android phone, usually with Snapchat so I can quickly share it with my friends who are scattered all around the world (unprofessional I know).

If you have any questions please don’t be afraid to ask in the comments or through anything on my Write to Me page!

  1. I’m so glad I just found (and thoroughly snooped through) your blog! I feel like I can relate to you in so many ways – I’m 19, grew up in one country, moved to another, and then another, etc. I, too, would consider myself a socially anxious extrovert. I’m excited to get to know you and your perspective more as you keep posting 🙂
